Ken and I went to the west village one weekend and decided to grab brunch at High Street on Hudson a new-ish restaurant that is originally from Philadelphia. They have a small bakery in the front of the restaurant that sells the breads the restaurant uses for their breakfast sandwiches. We didn’t make a reservation so put our names on the list and sat down by the bakery:

The wait wasn’t too bad because it was still early (the place was pretty packed by the time we left) and when we sat down, we came up with a game plan for our ordering (but ended up ordering too much because everything sounded good!)

Our table:

We had to order the three types of toast (which were all good), Ken ordered the meatpacker with the best old bay potatoes I’ve ever eaten, and I ordered the baked oatmeal with apple butter and granola.

My granola:

Ken’s potatoes were a side dish but I could’ve ordered another portion of it because it was so delicious – they must’ve been fried at least twice because they were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were also seasoned really well:

We also ordered a citrus donut:

I thought the donut would have the citrus cream all through the donut, but it was barely filled! I’d skip this if I came again, but otherwise, everything was awesome. They have some really delicious options for dinner so I’d like to come back and try them soon.
