Rowdy Hall

After grabbing ice cream at Bridgehampton Candy Kitchen, we drove to Rowdy Hall for a quick bite to eat. They were just switching service from lunch to dinner so we had to wait an hour, but it wasn’t too bad since we ended up walking around while we waited for our table to be set up. When we walked out of the restaurant with our buzzer, we ran into Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy, who were sitting down for a quick bite to eat as well.

The restaurant is located on the main drag in east hampton but located in a little alleyway, similar to how Freeman’s in the city:

When we got back at 5 for our table, we sat down (all eight of us) and immediately started playing Buzz Words, the game of the weekend, while we waited for our food:

Ken ordered the French onion soup:

And I ordered the escargot:

With a side of fries:

Everything was prepared well, especially the escargot and fries. Ken and I did our mid-meal switch but I thought the French onion soup was too sweet so we immediately switched back. I loved the escargot drowned in butter, parsley and garlic with the rustic baguette slices.

After dinner (and after watching Claire Danes eat lots of Buffalo wings) we headed home to get ready for a night in (and another dinner!)
